A welcome surprise after driving six hours from DC to Williamsburg (I HATE YOU, DC TRAFFIC. It should not take that long). XDDDDD

I JUST DON’T UNDERSTAND. lolol I first reblogged myself and was amazed at the notes when there were about 2,000… now there’s over 30,000 notes. WHAT ON EARTH.
Now that I’ve accomplished this, guess it’s time to retire from the internet.
… If only it were so easy…
I’d like to welcome the gazillion new followers I’ve gotten in this last week or so, all of whom are undoubtedly Korra fans. As a token of appreciation, I drew this picture of an Elvis-y Bolin kissing you.
I’d also like to say “thanks(?)” for all the new questions I’ve received. Many are fascinating, and some are downright confounding. I enjoy answering them when I can, but I wanted to let you know a couple things about the question process:
1) I’m a lot more likely to answer questions privately, because, while I don’t mind answering questions, I usually doubt that everybody that’s following me wants to know the answers I write, and I also don’t want to flood anybody’s feed with unwanted information. I’m continuing to allow anonymous questions because they’re usually the craziest and thus most entertaining to read, but the chances of me answering anonymous questions are slim at best.
2) Even if I wanted to answer spoiler-y questions (SPOILER ALERT: I don’t), or any questions about the future of the show (including what will or won’t be addressed), I wouldn’t be able to. I’d get fired, and worse, I’d be disappointing my friends. I’d also be ruining any future job prospects. Nobody wants to hire somebody that gives away their secrets. This means that I can’t tell you whether or not you ever get to find out what happened to Zuko’s mom, for example.
3) I’m a director, not a creator or writer of the show. In many cases, I don’t know the answers to your questions, but I can’t tell you that because that means that we probably haven’t addressed it yet in the second season, which would be in itself a sort of spoiler (hopefully you see how fraught with peril this whole process quickly becomes).
With all that said, I actually enjoy answering questions, so go ahead and ask, if you still have a burning desire to ask questions of a guy who’s just a cog in a well-made machine. Just don’t be mad if I refer you back to this post. And remember: Bolin loves you, baby.
Sorry, guys!! The requests got held up because when I finished cleaning, my sister wanted to watch Korra with me, and then my mom wanted to watch Sherlock with me, and now it’s 1:30 AM… so I’ll have to get to the rest of the prompts tomorrow! I want to do them all, though! *^* And I’m still open for more suggestions!
